Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to the Zodiac Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the game's release, to players forming strong opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed love of treats. Many past official descriptions mention their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an constant fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Just like an captivating, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to foresee an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its ability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion adores karma and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's description says it “draws in hatred and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
