Los Angeles witnessed citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Supporters across the globe united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area events included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.

The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
