The European football body's choice to play the first game in the Welsh capital was finalized as the competition was publicly unveiled on midweek

Quarter-finals will be staged at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, the Irish capital's arena, Glasgow's Hampden Park and Wembley - which was used for semi-finals and final in the 1996 edition and for the postponed tournament

Manchester's venue, where England's national team would play their opening group game if they secure immediate qualification, before moving to the national stadium, is one of five other venues being utilized in England

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Birmingham's ground, Liverpool's new arena and St James' Park are the others that will be utilized across the complete schedule throughout the tournament

The British authorities says it is allocating over half a billion pounds to hold the championship but expects a financial gain of billions of pounds due to work generation, area improvement and tourist spending
